We were delighted to be able to deliver a staff inset to St. Edward’s College on Friday 29th June which revisited the life and charism of Blessed Edmund, how the eight essentials in the daily life of the school and finally deepening opportunities and connections to the network. Having heard from Dr John Kelly of Finger Print Learning in the morning all about the brain and how it learns, staff were keen to be involved and made great contributions to our session in the afternoon. We want to thank and congratulate St.Edward’s College for its outstanding contribution to the network and for being a glowing example of an Edmund Rice school. Staff feedback was excellent and we all thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon together. The office looks forward to helping you achieve the aims you have outlined for further connections you would like to make with the Network and with your plans for ‘Looking out of the Window’ on February 1st next year.
O God, we thank you for the life of Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those oppressed by poverty and injustice.
May we follow his example of faith and generosity.
Grant us the courage and compassion of Edmund as we seek to live lives of love and service.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
