This term has been driven by the excitement of getting back to a new normal and by our journey to COP26. It’s been wonderful to be back in schools again, working with students and staff and getting back to planning further face-to-face opportunities. I have been inspired by the examples of so many females in our network globally whom I have had the pleasure in celebrating through our Women in Leadership advocacy campaign posts each day this term. Working with the Charism group of ROE https://roe-uk.co.uk/charism-group/ to develop and run the symposia for governors in religious order schools has also been very rewarding. Working with students to prepare and wrote our Edmund Rice Official Global Youth Statement for COY16 and taking students to the COP26 conference has been a privilege. Their drive, hope and resilience is certainly a lesson for us all during these trying times.
O God, we thank you for the life of Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those oppressed by poverty and injustice.
May we follow his example of faith and generosity.
Grant us the courage and compassion of Edmund as we seek to live lives of love and service.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
