Developed by Edmund Rice England, ERST and the Westcourt Centre, our Student Leadership Certificate reflects the EREBB adult leadership certificate; explores what it means to be a young leader in an Edmund Rice school.

With a flexible learning model of 4 themes and 12 topics, our leadership certificate covers the history of the Edmund Rice and Christian Brothers’ stories, explores our modern global network, covers social justice and leadership and engages participants in relevant community projects.

Suitable for secondary students, our cohorts so far have included sixth form prefect teams, sixth form general RE classes, Edmund Rice groups, ERI groups, peace and justice groups etc.

The certificate can be delivered entirely by school staff with support from the Edmund Rice office team or else can be a combined effort between the office team and the school.

Schools can choose to deliver the whole course, covering all 12 topics or a shortened version of at least 6 hours, covering at least one topic from each theme.

All materials can be accessed via the Padlet page and student handbooks can be downloaded or printed as required.

All groups undertaking the certificate should participate in a facilitated discussion with another Edmund Rice school from around the globe. This can be facilitated by the office team.

This course is certificated by Edmund Rice England and EREBB.

Schools in South Africa and South America have adopted this student leadership certificate too.
