Edmund Rice Year 6 Awards

It has been great to work with the Primary schools this term on their Edmund Rice Awards.

This year’s programme has been updated but keeping the focus on the essentials of an Edmund Rice education, advocacy and outreach. Students have engaged with Edmund Rice International, met a brother, worked on advocacy campaigns such as postcards for refugees, submitted a Child Rights United Nations input on social inclusion, worked on their outside spaces as part of their caring for our Common Home session, worked with the Whitechapel Centre and much more. In the coming weeks after Easter and SATs tests the groups will focus on their outreach and advocacy projects, coming together to report on these and receive their awards on 22 June in St Ambrose Prep and Woodeaves.
