Ann Nichols has worked with the Eco Club at St Mary’s Prep this term. We have looked at biodiversity, sustainability, and re-wilding areas of our gardens to encourage wildlife. Students have particularly enjoyed glass painting cornflowers onto their jars and planting seeds of this native and much forgotten flower, so attractive to bees and other important insects.
O God, we thank you for the life of Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those oppressed by poverty and injustice.
May we follow his example of faith and generosity.
Grant us the courage and compassion of Edmund as we seek to live lives of love and service.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
