Sarah Scott has been on the Governing Board since April 2012 and took over as Chair of Governors in 2019. Her support for St Joseph’s College has been exceptional and we count ourselves blessed to have benefited from her expertise, financial acumen, calm demeanour, and her profound Catholic faith. She has led the board through exceptional challenges – including the staffing restructure of 2019 and, of course, the Covid pandemic – and through times of great joy such as the awarding of Teaching Schools Hub status and our 90thBirthday celebrations. Throughout this time, she been a continuous champion of the school, our students and our staff, a reassuring presence, and a model of the warmth we strive to cultivate. Sarah is taking a break and hopes to return to the board in future years but, until then, we are immensely grateful for her wonderful service.

O God, we thank you for the life of Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those oppressed by poverty and injustice.
May we follow his example of faith and generosity.
Grant us the courage and compassion of Edmund as we seek to live lives of love and service.
