Faith in Action at St Edward’s College
“On Sunday 12 October, the College were privileged to gather in the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King to celebrate the Feast of St Edward, our College’s patron saint. This special occasion is always a highlight in our calendar, a moment for our community to come together in faith, gratitude, and reflection.
The celebration was made even more memorable by the outstanding performance of our choristers, who sang with grace and passion alongside visiting choirs. Their music filled the Cathedral with reverence and joy, beautifully embodying the values of service, excellence, and faith that define life at St Edward’s.
Moments such as these remind us of the importance of our shared Edmund Rice charism to live with compassion, faith, and a commitment to others. The Feast of St Edward serves not only as a celebration of our patron saint but also as a reflection of the spiritual foundation that continues to guide and inspire our College community today.”

O God, we thank you for the life of Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those oppressed by poverty and injustice.
May we follow his example of faith and generosity.
Grant us the courage and compassion of Edmund as we seek to live lives of love and service.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
