On Tuesday the office team were delighted to be invited into St. Ambrose Prep to deliver a twilight INSET session on the living out of the Eight Essentials in school and developing further links with the network.
Together we explored Edmund’s story and mission through the icon. We asked staff to think about how each of the essentials are being lived out in their school and then offered some support with developing further engagement with the Network opportunities.
We enjoyed a very positive and productive couple of jours with the staff and thanks them for sharing there lovely school with us.
O God, we thank you for the life of Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those oppressed by poverty and injustice.
May we follow his example of faith and generosity.
Grant us the courage and compassion of Edmund as we seek to live lives of love and service.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
