The Brothers at Woodeaves are sad to announce the passing of Brother Joe O’Sullivan.
Br. O’Sullivan’s life as a Christian Brother
Brother Joseph O’Sullivan of the Christian Brothers Community Woodeaves and who was recently a resident at “Lady of the Vale” Nursing Home Bowdon Cheshire School died at Wythenshawe Hospital Manchester on July 2nd.
Joe was born in Crosby, Merseyside on January 8th.
He was educated at St. Mary’s College Crosby and St Joseph’s
College in Ledsham, Cheshire. Christian Brothers’ Novitiate, Ledsham, Cheshire 1947
Graduated (Honours) in Geography and History from Bristol University in 1956
Perpetual Profession as a Christian Brother, August 1957.

Retired to Woodeaves Community at Hale Barns and Lady of the Vale Nursing Home Bowdon

O God, we thank you for the life of Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those oppressed by poverty and injustice.
May we follow his example of faith and generosity.
Grant us the courage and compassion of Edmund as we seek to live lives of love and service.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
