Enjoy this edition of Online Presence! You will find it packed full of the voices of
Edmund’s people, young and old(er) who are working across our network to make a
more equal, safer and sustainable future for us all. Returning fresh from our summer
visit to the Australian network of schools, we have had a very busy few weeks. It
has been fantastic to be able to visit our schools this term; working with year 7s and
new staff on their induction programmes as well as lead workshops, help advocacy
groups, teach the student leadership certificate and much, much more. A big change
has happened in the office team, with Tom Murray moving into schools full time to be
Chaplain at both St Ambrose College and St Anselm’s College, Tom continues to be
a big support to us with the wealth of experience and knowledge he has accrued
over the past 12 years with the network. We have welcomed past St Joseph’s pupil
and seasoned Edmund Rice Camp coordinator Shannon Oates to our team to
shoulder some of the administrative burden, you will be able to hear from her in this
edition. I would like to thank all the contributors for their wonderful pieces and

O God, we thank you for the life of Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those oppressed by poverty and injustice.
May we follow his example of faith and generosity.
Grant us the courage and compassion of Edmund as we seek to live lives of love and service.
