Half term saw a gathering of leaders involved in Edmund Rice education from across the world, who met to strengthen the future of Edmund Rice Education Beyond Borders. With a remit to expand and diversify the leadership structure of the organisation, which encompasses all of our 250 + Edmund Rice schools in 5 continents, great work was done in the wonderful school of Iona Prep in New York where the group was hosted by the Christian Brothers North America Educational Services office team. Whilst in the United States, we had the opportunity to understand better the history of Christian Brothers education in North America and meet some amazing young people from Iona Prep, Iona University and All Hallows College. As ever, it was the witness of the young people in our schools who are the true testament to the living, breathing charism of Blessed Edmund which is alive and thriving in the USA. New EREBB structures will be implemented from March 2025.

O God, we thank you for the life of Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those oppressed by poverty and injustice.
May we follow his example of faith and generosity.
Grant us the courage and compassion of Edmund as we seek to live lives of love and service.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
