It is my pleasure to introduce myself as the Charism Development Officer of the Gaudete Trust. With a career rooted in education and roles within two Catholic dioceses, I have gained valuable experience, including participation in a pilot project for the Archdiocese of Liverpool to integrate lay people into parish life in Liverpool South. I was deeply involved in the Liverpool Synod and I am passionate about incorporating synodality in all areas of life.
I am a Companion in Mission with the Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJs), a lay group dedicated to living out and supporting the FCJs’ charism and mission in daily life. I am also pursuing a master’s degree in Christian Spirituality. My two sons, who attended a Christian Brothers’ primary school, are now at university and I am now owned by three cats. In my local parish, I mainly support music and reading ministries.
I eagerly look forward to collaborating with the Gaudete schools to develop a Gaudete Charism, enriching it by drawing on the unique charisms of each order and fostering something new and meaningful together.
O God, we thank you for the life of Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those oppressed by poverty and injustice.
May we follow his example of faith and generosity.
Grant us the courage and compassion of Edmund as we seek to live lives of love and service.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
