Global Classroom Partners – Online Presence

With well over 40 Edmund Rice schools from across the global community signed up for the Global classroom Partners program we have seen some amazing connections and global learning in our classrooms this term.

This program offers a learning space for young people from around the Edmund Rice world, where they critically explore some of the world’s most important issues and come up with a specific project to be applied in their community. We have a team of facilitators who help GCP coordinating staff to run the videoconferences with their groups. A simple project where all topic material is given to schools to use and designed to quickly enable student conversations, it has really enhanced the opportunity for our Edmund Rice pupils to get to know their brothers and sisters on the other side of the world. The Melbourne Graduate School of Education at the University of Melbourne is to undertake a research study investigating the global engagement within schools that is part of this pilot program.

If your class would like to connect with another Edmund Rice school internationally just register your interest and the EREB coordinators will set this up for you and guide you through the process.
