INSET Day for St Jospeh’s Prep Staff with Edmund Rice Office

On 4 Sept. We led an INSET day for St Joseph’s Prep Staff on Embedding the Eight Essentials & Setting your Mission Goal.

It was wonderful to begin the academic year with the staff at St Joseph’s Prep school, Stoke-on-Trent. Together we explored how our foundations stones, the Eight Essentials can be developed and better embedded into school life. From some ‘myth busting’ activities as to who created the iterations of the Eight Essentials, to where and how they are currently being lived in school, we also looked at good examples from across the world of a lived Edmund Rice mission.  Staff were enthused to try to improve and evidence the Essentials in the everyday practices at school. staff were also encouraged to set their own Mission Goals for the year of how they themselves might seek to root the Edmund Rice charism in their own role.
