We were delighted to be able to hold a Christmas Concert for our primary schools at the end of November. Kindly hosted by St Ambrose Prep, we were joined by members of the choirs from Runnymede-St Edward’s Catholic Primary and St Mary’s Prep and their staff.
Unfortunately, St Joseph’s Prep had to pull out due to cases of COVID-19.
Being together after such a long time was a truly special experience. We were also joined by our special guests, the choir form Asylum Link Merseyside. Each school sang a number of beautiful Christmas pieces, the standards were extremely high! We were also very lucky to have a message and song from our fellow Edmund Rice school, CBC St John’s in Cape Town, South Africa whose song Sisi Ni Moja (We are One) was a great hit and will be being learned by our own schools, we are sure.

In this spirit of oneness and togetherness we all joined in with Asylum Link’s rendition of One Love, One Heart with some actions, singing and percussion. A truly wonderful afternoon. Thanks to all schools who participated, thanks to St Ambrose Prep for hosting and to St Ambrose College catering who provided our tasty lunch.
O God, we thank you for the life of Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those oppressed by poverty and injustice.
May we follow his example of faith and generosity.
Grant us the courage and compassion of Edmund as we seek to live lives of love and service.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
