The Laetare CMAT, an Academy Trust for Religious Order schools, has moved on at quite a pace. The DfE has authorised its setting up, with approval being given by the Headteacher Board in December, and they have also provided tremendous support to the working party. There is now a shadow Board of Trustees who are working with the interim CEO and CFO. The Leadership group comprising the Headteachers of the Pathfinder schools, St Ambrose College, De La Salle St Helen’s, St Joseph’s College, St Anselm’s College and St Edward’s College, are all helping to steer the direction of the new CMAT. It is a very exciting time and with the financial support of the DfE, achieved through funding bids, it is hoped that the first schools will be in the CMAT early in the new academic year.
O God, we thank you for the life of Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those oppressed by poverty and injustice.
May we follow his example of faith and generosity.
Grant us the courage and compassion of Edmund as we seek to live lives of love and service.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
