Edmund Rice England - Presence . Compassion . Liberation

Network Gathering

On 8 March our social Network Gatherings resumed for the year. We invited a network friend and previous facilitator, Rosemary Broadbent who delivered a wonderful session on music. Our theme was ‘the tip of the iceberg’ and Rosemary guided us to the masses of material by composers who are probably only known for the ‘tip’ or their most famous piece. E.g. Ravel and his Bolero.

We gathered with refreshments and a reflection as usual to begin the evening. Friends and Brothers really appreciated the occasion. Feedback was wonderful: ‘My dear Ann, Thank you so much for a lovely musical evening with Rosemary. I am always made to feel so welcome at Woodeaves and I was really in awe of the preparations you had made for that evening. It was so generous and warm in every way. Thank you.’

‘Dear Ann

I cannot tell you how amazingly wonderful yesterday evening was for me!

Thank you for the thoughtfulness- the attention to detail- your kindness and generosity!

It was lovely Rosemary Broadbent was or is a treasure- just hits the right spot for me musically.

Then your gift of roses for International Women’s Day with an extra little tag! How thoughtful!

You are a special gift to the brothers and the Edmund Rice network and friends.

Thank you.

All blessings’

O God, we thank you for the life of Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those oppressed by poverty and injustice.
May we follow his example of faith and generosity.
