As we look back on our first five years of existence, ROE is reflecting on its achievements:
The establishment of the Gaudete Trust; of the Laetare Catholic Multi-Academy Trust for Religious Order schools; of the protocol for mutual relations between
Religious Orders, Dioceses, and the CES in the service of Catholic Education.
The voice of roe on behalf of Religious Orders and their schools has attained national attention. The CES, for example, has sought our views on how to ensure inspections are responsive to the distinctive character of Religious Order schools.
Now in these days when the movement to synodality in the Church is an inspiration of the Holy Spirit, ROE is looking to widen participation of our lay colleagues who have taken on the responsibility of leadership in this precious mission of Catholic
Religious Order education. We hope that we too can bear witness to the reality of synodality.

O God, we thank you for the life of Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those oppressed by poverty and injustice.
May we follow his example of faith and generosity.
Grant us the courage and compassion of Edmund as we seek to live lives of love and service.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
