Runnymede Sports

Our children have enjoyed participating in a wide range of sporting activities this term such as football, bowling, cross-country, and indoor athletics.  Excellent teamwork, determination and effort has been displayed by all those involved, and we are very proud of their drive to be the best they can be!

Edmund Rice Global Classroom Partners

We were lucky to be partnered with a fellow Edmund Rice school in Dublin, Ireland.  Our Year Six Edmund Rice Ambassadors have met with their linked school and exchanged information about our similarities and differences.  We have selected the topic, “Caring For Our Common Home” and look forward to sharing our work around this important topic on our next Zoom!

Building Expansion

In July, our much-anticipated building expansion commenced.  This is a five-year project and will see our school be transformed as new learning areas, classrooms, Dining Hall, kitchen, pupil toilets, and meeting rooms are built.  Our staff, pupils and Runnymede family are delighted with the progress thus far.

At Runnymede we value bringing learning to life for our Young Edwardians.  So far this academic year our pupils have taken part in the following visits/workshops:

*Reception visit to the Planetarium, World Museum Liverpool
*Glow Stick fitness and wellbeing sessions for all pupils and staff
*Year 1 visit to the ‘Toy Exhibition’ at Liverpool World Museum
*Year 2 visit to Croxteth Hall Farm
*Year 3 visit to’ Egyptian Exhibition’ and ‘Mummification Workshop’ at Liverpool World Museum
*Year 4/5 visit to Ribchester Roman Museum
*EYFS Fire Safety Visit by Merseyside Fire Brigade
*Visit by Bishop Tom to all classes
*Year 6 visit to the Liverpool Maritime Museum, Liverpool
*Judaism workshops for all classes led by Mr E Cohen
