Souran Mishra, Pratyek

Souran is a graduate from Delhi University, who is a professional circus artist and has effectively used his skills to advocate for the UN Global Goals and child rights. He has been one of the key organizers of the ‘Climategiri’ child-friendly gatherings of school students, seeking climate action.

He was one of the chief performers (later co-directors) of the ‘Christmas for All’ circus art presentation of the nativity story to promote the UN Global Goals.

He has consistently organized interactions with numerous international immersion groups from the UK, Australia, Ireland, and the USA. Souran was also part of the first ever children’s parliament in National Parliament in the presence of the Vice-President of India and a host of significant Members of Parliament. He is currently engaged as a child rights and circus art trainer of vulnerable children in Mumbai.

Souran’s message at being hosted in the UK:

Dear Ann, Roisin, and everyone at Edmund Rice Office,

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible opportunity you’ve given me to share my story through these amazing platforms, while representing that of so many other vulnerable children from developing world. It’s been a truly enriching experience, and I feel incredibly blessed to have been a part of the Edmund Rice community in this beautiful part of the world.

I want to thank you once again for extending your invitation to me. I genuinely believe that we’ll have the chance to meet and collaborate again in the future. Thank you for looking into all the detail that went into coordinating these visits and interactions. Your hospitality, warmth and encouragement will never be forgotten.
