Our annual Staff Advocacy Workshop, where the Office invites key staff from our schools to attend a formation day on effectively running justice and advocacy groups in the schools took place in October. We were fortunate to have Jessica Dewhurst, Steve Rocha and Br Tino D’Abreu of ERI present on the day. With such fantastic input from successful Human Rights experts, the staff were inspired to re-focus their groups and have gone on, as a result of the day, to engage with network campaigns this term.
O God, we thank you for the life of Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those oppressed by poverty and injustice.
May we follow his example of faith and generosity.
Grant us the courage and compassion of Edmund as we seek to live lives of love and service.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
