16.09 – Year 7 receive their house badges and attend Purple Fair
“Our new Year 7 pupils received their House Badges from their House Captains at the
ceremony and a special blessing from Bishop Nowakowski. We hope they continue to settle
well into life at St Edward’s. This afternoon, all Year 7 pupils spent their last lesson of the
day in the College Hall at our ‘Purple Fair’ where they had the opportunity to learn about
the various extracurricular clubs on offer from our Sixth Form and Year 11 helpers, enjoy
some treats, and sign up for the clubs. All pupils have received a copy of the extracurricular
timetable to take home with them, and it is available to view on the website here. Please do
encourage your son/daughter to take full advantage of the clubs on offer, ‘joining in’ is one
of the five keys to life at St Edward’s and enriches the school experience for all involved.”
21.09 New year 7 Parent’s Dinner

23.09 Year 7 First House Competition
Year 7 and 8 competed in the Egg Drop House Competition where pupils created a landing
device to ensure their egg did not crack on impact!
7.10 Teambuilding trips
“Our Year 7 pupils have been having an exciting time on their Form team building trips over
the past few weeks. Lots of fun had on the water and taking part in archery, assault course
and campcraft.”
O God, we thank you for the life of Edmund Rice.
He opened his heart to Christ present in those oppressed by poverty and injustice.
May we follow his example of faith and generosity.
Grant us the courage and compassion of Edmund as we seek to live lives of love and service.
